Dave was born in a grew up in New York.  He first learned piano, but one listening of “ Freebird” from Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “ One More From the Road “ motivated him to purchase a guitar. He then learned how to play by listening to and figuring out all guitar parts from “ One More From the Road” as well as the Allman Brothers “ Live At the Fillmore East “. Ironically, in all the bands in which Dave has been a part, not one played a Lynyrd Skynyrd song. So when the opportunity came along, he jumped at the chance to play the music of his favorite band.
